Estes Park, CO

My favorite place in Colorado is Estes Park. Why do I love it? It is a touristy town so there are lots of little shops to waste time in. A river that runs through it and many restaurants have outdoor seating right beside it. While it was 78 degrees there, it was 89 degrees at home. I went up early in the morning on Friday and there was very little traffic. I got home by 2:30 p.m. and beat the evening rush hour.

What did I do while I was there? I took Tucker with me and we met every dog in the town (almost). We walked through numerous shops and took lots of pictures. Tucker got fresh, cold water from the river. I ate a Buffalo cheeseburger and fries at my favorite restaurant there, Grubsteak and bought a couple of things to take to my new home.

Tucker slept most of the way back and most of the evening. On the way home, I stopped to take a picture and she started barking. I was surprised because she was so well behaved in all the stores. Then I noticed two deer on the side of the road. It was a good day.

Another Sunset

I love sunsets. As the sun goes behind the mountains and makes the sky orange while the mountains stay dark - it is just gorgeous.

Two Weeks

It has been two weeks since I started eating better and getting a little more exercise. I have lost around 4 pounds. That's a good thing because I am a results person. I see no results, I go back to eating whatever I want. Hope everyone else sees results too.

Berthoud and Jellyfish Glass

Jellyfish Glass is located in Berthoud, CO. I have a few items there on consignment. Kimberly and I drove up yesterday to switch out some of our stock. It was a nice drive. Then we went to JoAnn Fabrics and I loaded up on some fabric for more wallets and some cardmaking supplies. Watch my Etsy store for the new items. I can't wait to get started.
This is a building just north of Jellyfish. I love the painting on it.

Samantha

This is our other cat. We call her either Sam or Sammie. We have had her for approx. 1.5 years. She is around 5 or 6 years old. She is half Bengal. She is sweet but loves to beat up Pogie. We have to keep them separated.
The picture isn't the best because it is a picture of a picture. She is in Virginia with Glen.

Pogie

This is my cat. Her name is Pogie. I have had her for about 10 years and have had her since she was 3 weeks old. Her mother abandoned her under a house and a co-worker talked me into keeping her.

Peek A Boo

Tucker thinks she should be with me - at all times. She follows me from room to room and as soon as I sit down she is in my lap. This is what she does when she is in the backyard and I am working in the front yard.

Sunset

This is a view from my backyard last night. I really love the sunsets here. The mountains always look so beautiful.

Tucker

Took Tucker for a walk at the dog park tonight. We are have such great weather right now. It is in the low 60's and we had much needed rain earlier. She runs until she is exhausted. Although she is less than 10 pounds (9 months old now) she still plays with all the big dogs and does her best to get them to chase her. I love going there because she sleeps so well at night.

She loves sleeping in the laundry basket.

Update

Glen has now gotten an apartment in Alexandria, VA. I hope to follow as soon as the house sells. The market here sucks but hopefully it won't take too long. I am looking forward to the move.
